logging things I see in my day-to-day life, that caught my eye
march 8-15
- a girl wearing a black midi skirt with grey circles of varying sizes
- a girl sitting across on the bus, wearing a unique layered maxi skirt with beige and grey patterned detailing. A black messenger bag with ribbons. She had a cool umbrella - the grip looked like a sword hilt
- an oxalis plant / wood sorrel - the leaves look like shamrocks, and there are cute small white flowers that reach for the sunlight. At night, the leaves droop and curl inwards. Very dynamic.
- a purple book cover with three yellow daffodils - the composition stood out to me and caught my eye: simplistic with a bold centered subject, and complementary colors
- “matcha motherboard” grinding video https://www.instagram.com/p/DVZf9kvEqGs/ - the colors, the background, the desaturated 2000s vibe with shaky filming - I love the feeling
- “have and have not” by Crystal Schenk - a visually striking juxtaposition to highlight wealth inequality, and how a shopping cart outside of its intended location can mean something so different for someone who uses it to transport their entire life
- a light sculpture with character https://www.instagram.com/p/DU1N0YZjlDP/ - people making things behave unexpectedly - a kinematic sculpture
