i tend to do breadth over depth i like trying new things + i get bored easily this has made me a generalist

i need to maintain slow but consistent progress in established hobbies, while also allocating sufficient time to explore other things

knowing how to create the conditions for real focus matters way more than allocating a large chunk of time to do something while being distracted about something else you want to do - balance the urgent things with the slow things too

current strategy to attempt: sparse milestones for everything in the background, with deeper focus time on ‘active’ skills i’m learning

active goals

  • do it 1-2 hours a day, or a little bit 4 days of the week
    • game outline possible sparse goal examples
  • one serious drawing a month
  • master one guitar piece every two weeks
  • one serious photoshoot a month
  • produce one exercise song every three weeks
